Trendy Twine Tuesday: Feel better bunny...
The 3 years old daughter of one of my cousins recently fell in the stairs and broke her collarbone! :-( This happened to my daughter a few years ago (she fell from a tree) and it was a very painful and slow recovery. So I made a little card to cheer her up. :-)
I used Melanie's bunny, stamped on craft cardstock and cut out, then I bended the right paw, and made my own little sling out of Strawberry Cupcake Trendy Twine. So fun! :-)
I hope she'll get a little kick out of it... :-)

Get well soon Naomi!
Last sunday, Naomi (my 6 1/2 y.o daughter) fell from a tree at the playground and she broke her right collarbone. :-(
She has been a good little trooper (except when the doctor tried to convince her to wear clavicle rings!...;-) ) and was in a lot of pain but is already bouncing back to her usual happy bubbly (and opiniated) self!...
My parents left this morning , after spending 3 weeks with us, and I needed a little stamping-therapy to change my mind. The first days are always hard when family leaves... :-(
So I made Naomi this little Get Well card with the new set "Just so hippy!" by Melanie Muenchinger for Gina K. Designs. Gina is just so generous, I won this set on her blog and it was in my mailbox before I knew it! :-)

Coloring
Not much to say about this super simple card, I was in the mood for some coloring (with regular colored pencils, since this ink would run with the watercolor ones...)...
I admit the coloring is a bit "childish" but I don't own minerals to blend it all. I hope one day I can splurge on copic markers but they are really too expensive! :-(... I really like the effect they give!
I like the distressed look of the sentiment done by rubbing against the ink pad (yep it's a new cool thing to me ! ;-)) and I went through the troubles of coloring the stamp with my stamps markers so that each element had the color I wanted. I really like that effect, opposed to stamping a monochromatic image. I think it looks more alive that way.
The colors I used for the background were matching a pattern paper I finally decided not to use, oh well!... :-) I like brown lately, it must be the season...
And I resisted the urge to put Stickles all over!... ;-) (it's still itching me though! LOL Especially since it looks even more dull on a picture)
