In the spotlight: Sweetly Scrapped
Do you love vintage graphics? Do you like free printables?
Thanks to Pinterest, I discovered Sweetly Scrapped . Emily comes up with free printables faster than I can papercraft! ;-D
Pay her a little visit, she has fun stuff for every taste! I am not really into vintage and I found lots of cute accents for scrapbooking or cardmaking. :-)
Today she has a whole mini album with tabs!... :-)

In the spotlight: Under a Cherry Tree
Since I removed the blogs list from my margin, I have been trying to bring your attention to the blogs and sites that really get me excited. Under a Cherry tree is one of those...
Jin is one of those people with incredible talent and creativity, that bring inspiration and fun in your papercrafting world. :-)
Her blog is about svg files and Make the Cut software, but even if you don't use those you can still visit for eye candy!... ;-)

Envelope Book by Liz Kartchner |
I'm sure all of you already know Elizabeth Kartchner! :-D But you might not know that she has a new website called "Make something splendid" where you can purchase video tutorials (with or without kits to complete the projects).
I am tempted by the (soon to come) felt cupcakes!... :-P And that little Glassine Envelopes Book she made for her baby Lola is just adorable... <3
Check it out!... :-D

In the spotlight:TheTwinery
I swear I did try to resist. I was good and managed for a while....
I even tried the kitchen stores in hopes of finding just the red one and be reasonable...
But I finally jumped on the multicolor twine bandwagon! :-P
How could I resist those gorgeous colors?... I swear, sometimes I wonder if there is something wrong with me for being more excited about paper and ribbons than say jewelry or shoes!... ;-)
In case you have been living under a rock (what with this rough winter and all...) twine is all the rage right now in papercrafting projects everywhere!... Yeah, like we really needed another product to get addicted to!... *sigh*

In the spotlight: Happy Life Crafty wife
If you are not familiar with Tamara's blog, it's time to remedy to this.
Tamara is one of the newest member of the SVGCuts design team, but she is much more than that... In french we would call her a "touche-a-tout", which pretty much means "dabble in everything". She is a talented photographer, an enthusiastic baker, has her own little line of clothing on Etsy, and when she is not busy whipping up stunning paper creations she also takes care of 3 beautiful kids... (Yes, I plan on asking what her secret is to handle it all, but so far she has hinted it was caffeine...)
I am in love with her latest project, check it out here. Warning: Cuteness overload ahead! :-D

In the spotlight: Lettering Delights
I recently discovered Lettering Delights, thanks to Thienly and Bee, my crafty pals that are always "in the know" and are terrible enablers! ;-)
I just had to share it with you. They sell tons of cute graphic sets and alphabets/doodlebats, and just started a line of svg files.
I haven't tried any yet (still struggling with my computer issues) but their svgs are gorgeous. They recently released the Balloon Craze (hot air ballons) that I can't wait to put in action, and check out their cute Matryoshka Dolls too!...
They regularly offer free files for a limited time. Right now you can grab the Pennants at no cost, so hurry over there today!...
(for inspiration with their products, check out Jin Yong's cool blog Under A Cherry Tree :-))

In the spotlight: Mod Paperie
![]() |
http://modpaperie.blogspot.com/ |
If you're a familiar from my blog (are there any of you left? LOL) you might have noticed that my sidebar with all the blogs to visit disappeared. It's because it's too hard to keep up with everyone, and since my baby was born my "blog-surfing-days" are mostly over... :-S
If you were on that list it doesn't mean I don't like what you're doing anymore or anything like that!... ;-) I miss a lot of you fellow papercrafters, but there's only so many hours in a day...
Every now and then though, I run into a blog I really want to share with others, and I will keep highlighting those in my "in the spotlight" section! :-D
Today I want to tell you about Thienly's blog: Mod Paperie. She is my "SVG/S.C.A.L/Cricut Hero"! ;-D She comes up with the most beautiful projects, always using gorgeous coordinating colors and paying special attention to details, shading, depth...
Mary and Leo were right on it and made her the 1st SVG Cuts designer! :-) You can follow her papercrafting adventures on her blog and also on the svgcuts.com blog under "Thienly's spot" in the craft zone. By the way, if you haven't visited SVG Cuts' blog yet, you don't know what you're missing!... ;-)

In the spotlight: Kris' color stripes
I discovered this blog today (through Lauren's blog), and it is like nothing else...it's a color palette.
Kris, the artist behind it, who lives in italy, takes pictures of things that inspire her and then draw out color combos from the pics.
It's pretty awesome and a real eye candy.
Check it out: http://color-stripes.blogspot.com/

In the spotlight: Kim Hughes
I had mentioned her in my post yesterday, but afterwards I thought she deserved her own post... ;-)
I don't remember how I stumbled onto Kim Hughes's blog a few months ago, it was just one of those exciting time when you are blog hopping and you find one you really like...
It so happens that Kim designs stamps and sell them through Cornish Heritage Farms. I don't own any of her stamps sets yet (watching the budget, remember!?...:-) ) but I like their fun and whimsical charm.
Here are my 2 favorites so far : "Cute curls" http://www.cornishheritagefarms.com/product_info.php/cPath/376_395/products_id/7329 and "a welcome hug" http://www.cornishheritagefarms.com/product_info.php/cPath/376_395/products_id/7411
They can be found at http://www.cornishheritagefarms.com/ along with quite a few other sets! :-)
Kim's blog (Paper Hugs) is fun and her creations are always original with great color impact and play with textures.
Pay her a little visit, I think you'll like it!: http://paperhugs.typepad.com/

In the spotlight: Erika, artist, loving mother and autism advocate....

If you visit my blog, chances are you know Erika Martin!
When I met her through Life Journal last spring, I was just starting to have an interest in stamping and scrapbooking... Seeing her work sure inspired me to just go for it, and I bought my first serious stamps through her...
She is a talented artist and a free spirit, and also a loving mother and autism advocate.
This last days she posted scrapbook pages on her blog : http://stampinmama.typepad.com/) that she made about her son Zach, who is 9 years old and autistic.
Those pages are beautiful (and the pics of Zach are stunning!), but they also tell a story.
They are bursting with emotion and love, and made me cry a river because of course I could hear myself in Erika's words. They highlight so well what life with autism is, the hard times and worries of a mother, and the awe we feel for our kids who never cease to amaze us and teach us something new every day!...♥
Go check them out: http://stampinmama.typepad.com/stampin_mama_a_mama_that_/2008/02/post.html
When I see her pages it makes me want to publish a book of scrapbook pages made about autistic children, and sell that book to raise money for autism! Who knows, maybe we could do this one day?....

How cool is that! :-)
Of course I checked the french section...ah... Paris, Je t'aime!....♥
