End of year teacher's gifts

I made those mini (3X3) Thank You cards sets for Naomi's teachers for the end of the school year. The room Mom was taking care of giftcards for us, but I wanted to do a little something personal on top of it. I used SVG Cuts files (Linus 3D Fall cards if I remember correctly) .
I had changed my blade just before starting that project but I'm not sure the settings on my Cricut were right because I had a little bit of trouble with the stitched design. It's wonderful that the machine does it all for you, but it still takes quite some time to cut little intricate designs like those. And since I made the envelopes too, I limited my projects to 12 cards, 6 of each design, and gave 3 apples and 3 sunflowers to each teacher. I would have loved to do 10 cards for each, but time was (again!) of the essence, and even as is, the whole project took me a few hours (granted, lately I am very slow! ;-))
It's hard to see on the pics but the open design is actually raised from the card which gives it a cool effect. (you can click on pics for a larger view).

This is the little card I made to write a little note to go with my gift (PTI stamps). I simply tied my little sets with a lenght of brown taffeta ribbon.

Then I slipped a little set with the little card, and 2 little Ghirardelli squares (at Naomi's suggestion! ;-)), in each of those little bags and that was it! :-) The little bags are also from a SVG Cuts file. It's amazing how fast and easy they come together. Love it!
I hope the teachers loved it. I had fun working on those, I just wish my brain was connecting as fast as my SCAL is!... ;-)

Stationery set with My Timeless Templates

First let me tell you my pictures are horrendous, they're night pics and the colors are totally off and I can't seem to be able to fix that, so my apologies!... I want to gift-wrap this tonight since it's a gift for Naomi's teacher (to accompany some Ghirardelli chocolates) and I want her to take it with her to school tomorrow or I'm afraid I'll forget later on in the week!...)...
So, I made a little stationery set, using Lauren's template for the box (My timeless templates, available through PaperTrey Ink). By now you know how easy those are to use... ;-)
The card at the top of my post, with its "not-so-holiday-colors" is my card to go with the gift. Then you have the box closed, then the box opened (I used "Polka dots basic" to stamp my contrasting strips), and finally a sample of the cards and enveloppes. I made 4 of each, 2 different coordinating colors.
The polka dots strips on the cards are run through the Cuttlebug then inked, the little monogram circles and initials are from PaperTrey Ink.
It is a very simple set but I don't know the teacher very well and I think she isn't into frilly stuff... so I went with what I would like to get!! LOL! ;-) I hope she likes it, if not she can always use it to light up a fire in the fireplace while eating the chocolates! ;-)

Pond Stationery Set

This is a set I made for a friend/former neighboor, who just had her birthday. I used "Pond Life" by Madras Design for PaperTrey Ink, I just love that set, the design is cute but not cutesy and it's perfect for any occasion. I just love the little fishes in there :-)... This was so much fun!
I made 8 cards, (I had planned on making 10 but the ink smeared on one so it suddenly became an 8 pieces set, and I used the last embossed one for the actual b-day card... LOL!) It's hard to see on the pics (you can click on them for a larger version) but I embossed frames with the Nestabilities and then stamped somewhat in that frame (or purposefully out for details).
The little tuft of grass is from Melanie's set "Hip-hop accessories", I just love this little tuft, I think it is the best thing to ground a nature scene, I am using it all the time now! :-)

First stationery

I made this set for Naomi's teacher to accompany some Lindt Truffles.
I don't have a clue what colors she likes but since she wears a lot of black (has black hair and black eyes) I went with that and added red just to make it more cheery. I really like my flower center (flower by MFT and monogram by PTI) but am not quite happy with my border. I find it a little too empowering and think I should just have left it bare, but it's done, I made 10 of those (and had to redo one or two because of smeared ink...) and can't stomach starting all over again!.... I also worry it does look a little too handmade and imperfect for a gift... :-S ?
Since I only have 2 circle punches and needed a rather small center to not hide the flower too much I couldn't use the beautiful borders from PTI (that you can see on the enveloppe flap), so I used the "sewing kit" from Gel-à-Tin and used a button stamp just wiping clean the middle before stamping. The border is made with the sewing line in that set. And of course the monogram on the flower is on pop-dots ;-)
It is such a simple project in itself but the different steps took me forever! At the end my eyes and my wrist were killing me! Maybe I should start wearing my glasses for that type of work!
For the box, I reused a box my PaperTrey Ink stamps came in, and trimmed it to the right size and decorated it to match my stamping.

Stamps: "Boho Blossom" by My favorite Thing, "Ambassador Monogram" by PaperTrey Ink, "Sewing Kit" by Gel-à-Tins.
Inks: Brilliance Graphite Black and Pearlescent Poppy
