Time flies, even when you're not having fun... ;-)

I was aware it had been a long time since I last updated my blog... But I didn't realize it had been over a year!... *gasp* Life has been busy, and papercrafting was relegated to the back burner when I decided to start exercising more seriously again... :-/
Over the last year my creative outlet has been making jewelry. Let's face it, it takes less time to make a pair of earrings than a card sometimes. I think I also needed to take a break from some stuff related to papercrafting, or maybe it's just that I lost my mojo, and let the clutter on my desk take over... >.<
I hope I'll get back to it at some point, I miss it...
But it is what it is, and I am finally learning to take life one day at a time...
So we'll just have to see what tomorrow brings... :-)

Why I need my own craftroom...

...or to use the lock on my bedroom door!... ;-)

This is the scene I walked upon this afternoon, when I went to my room to investigate some strange noise!...
My little craft corner is in my bedroom and a little someone has been very interested in it lately.... :-S
I had such a laugh when I saw him that I just had to snap pics, my camera being on my desk I was able to get all the action before the tower collapsed after the 5th jar!... :-S Luckily nothing broke....

I guess it's time to use the toddler locks...

(PS: Yes my bedroom has p... -ahem-, I mean brown colored walls, and it's from the previous owners and I hate it but haven't gotten a chance to paint over it.... Watching this little guy is a full time job! ;-))

Just in case you're wondering...

I am not dead and didn't give up papercrafting either.... ;-) I am just having computer problems.
My laptop crashed over 2 weeks ago and is still in repair, the hard drive died on me again, only weeks after we had to change it already! >:-(
So I have very sporadic access to internet, and no access to my SCAL. For all I know, I might have lost all my svg files! *shudders* And of course, I am not uploading pictures either...
Hopefully things will get back to normal soon, I know it's been a while since I posted anything... :-S

BABY News!!! :-D

He's here!!! :-D

The latest member of the clan made his apparition Thursday January 22nd 2009 at 8:00 am via a planned C-section.
Nathan Eli Samuel was 22 inches long and tipped the scale at 9 lbs 14 ounces (he is actually the lightest of our babies at birth! thanks to the gluten free casein free diet I followed during pregnancy...).
He is, of course, the most beautiful baby ever, with his plump little round face, his soft little fuzzy head, his curious eyes and perfect little hands and feet...
We are ecstatic and so grateful to have been blessed with this new little miracle in our life. <3

NEWS!!!!...

What do you think?.....

The cover of a planner I bought recently....

Detail on the first page of my planner.....

With this obvious clues, you now understand why I have been absent from "paper-blogs-world" over the last months!... I was feeling exhausted and nauseous, among other things...

Yes, I am pregnant!! :-D After a long wait and a 3rd miscarriage in March, I am now 17 weeks along in a new pregnancy. It hasn't exactly been smooth sailing, the first trimester was very stressful and we spent way too much time in the doctor's office with reasons to believe that this baby would not make it. :-(

But he/she did! :-) We are now in a much better place, even though there are still some issues that might become problematic, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it (if we ever have to!). We are so grateful to have this little life with us, and I want to thank the people that were in the know and prayed for us. Your support was greatly appreciated!♥ :-)

Our baby is due end of January, and I bought this little planner (in the back to school section ;-)) to record some of my thoughts and/or facts about this pregnancy. I thought the little tees would be a nice fun little touch... :-) I might decorate it a little more once I know the baby's gender... ;-) ...

It's been a year!!!!!

Tomorrow is my "card-making" first anniversary!!!!
I uploaded my first card in my computer a year ago!
Waow!! It seems like a lifetime ago! I can't believe what an incredible year it has been for me, discovering all kind of tools and techniques!!
I still remember how impressed I was the first time I saw the resist technique used on one of Erika's cards, or how excited my friend Sandrine and I were the first time we used embossing powder and a heating gun! Let's not forget the discovery of the Cuttlebug and it's wonderful embossing folders...♥ (Yes, embossing is probably my favorite thing to do with paper, it's magical to me.) And the brads, the eyelets, the ribbons... *happy sigh* :-)
Sometimes I just sit at my desk and open my drawers and look at all my little treasures, or go through my patterned papers... and it makes me happy!

So, it's been quite a year, and not just because of paper and colors and finding a new way to express myself. Looking back there were signs, in my photo albums, or my kids birth announcements, that papercrafting was right there, waiting to find a way out.... ;-)
But it also has been an incredible year because of the people I "met" who share this passion. A year ago I had no clue this "paper-crafting world" even existed and now I feel like I have this wonderful net of women who inspire me in so many ways! :-)

I just want to thank all of you, who have made this such an exciting experience!! I am not done learning and discovering, it's only the beginning!...
And I am looking forward to many many more years sharing that passion with all of you and getting to know you better! :-)

M.I.A

I know I have been absent lately and not very creative.
My kids have been on vacation, and now Noah goes to summer school in the morning and I have Naomi home with me, so less time for blogging obviously, but I hope to scrapbook and make cards with Naomi while Noah is at school... :-)
I have been kind of sick and not feeling well enough to stamp or craft. I have more than 400 new craft-related posts in Google Reader, waiting for me to read them... this is not gonna happen!... :-S So, if I didn't stop by and comment on your blog lately, it doesn't mean I don't like what you're doing anymore, just that life got a hold of me and I need to take a little break.
I hope to be back on track soon, but I'll take it easy with the summer and the kids around.
I wish everyone a wonderful summer!
